Welcome to day 2 of the 9:09 is Nurture Time challenge! Yesterday we ended with the thought that love blooms from within. Today we’ll continue to use our metaphor from nature about nurturing a garden. Our first step is to check your soil – because soil deteriorates over time if it isn’t nourished. Today we’re making space for new thoughts that are nurturing and nourishing.
Here’s why this is important. Often we’re either rejecting ourselves, with comments such as “I hate how my arms look” or “I’m sick of feeling my hips hurt,” or we’re asking questions with negatives like “what is wrong with me?” or “why am I so tired?“ Reframing your questions to be phrased as something positive gives you space to welcome more love and connection. For example, if you’re feeling tired, instead of reinforcing tiredness by asking why am I so tired, ask yourself “what gives me energy?”
I’ll give you an example of how to do this in this reflection.
