Help Ukrainians Receive Medical Supplies

[UPDATE – The cards are SOLD OUT. We are so honored and proud to have been part of this fundraising effort, which raised several thousand dollars as a donation to Stand with Ukraine MN]

We’re excited to offer greeting cards that directly support the people of Ukraine. All proceeds from sales of this product are donated to Stand with Ukraine MN, which provides humanitarian aid and medical supplies to Ukrainians.

I’ve worked with the artist, Evgenija Burchak, for several years and was thrilled when three women from the Rose and Redwood community gathered together to commission art and create these cards as fundraiser. In other words – this was a project conceived of, and created by, people who wanted to do something good.

Each set of 5×7 cards contains inspirational messages depicting hope, courage, resilience and strength.

Imagine creating such artwork while running to and from a bomb shelter.

“Darkness envelops us and everything seems to go wrong,” writes the artist in her statement summarizing this work. Yet Evgenija continues, “but… our inner energy of light and good is stronger and brighter.”

Notice the interplay of light and darkness reflected in each of the illustrations. There are dark hands reaching to kill, steal and destroy. Yet the light within and around us holds back the darkness. You can see light being released and light surrounding the women featured in the drawings.

Imagine the impact you make by sharing these messages.

So many of us are struggling right now. The world can feel heavy and dark. There’s bad news fed to us 24 / 7 and it can feel paralyzing. We sometimes feel powerless. Yet, we are made of starlight. And our light does shine brighter than the darkness. Light bends and reflects and opens space for love – and more light.

You can share your light by sending a simple card to someone needs hope, someone who needs to be reminded of their inner strength, someone who needs courage or someone who impresses you with their resilience.

These cards are a beautiful way to say “I’m in your corner.” The recipients receive hope, courage, strength and the power to persevere. And, proceeds from these cards have the special job of raising money for Ukrainians in need.
