Welcome to day 9 of the 9:09 is Nurture Time challenge!
Let’s attract more pollinators into our lives today!
Quick aside – my voice is still pretty hoarse. I’ll try to record tomorrow! In the meantime, I’ve been drinking lots of tea with honey and thinking about pollinators!
In gardening, pollinators are birds, bees, butterflies, bats, bugs… seemingly everything that starts with a “b.” Pollinators deter pests, clean the air, improve soil and increase the yield of growing plants.
Connecting to our metaphor, pollinators deter negative thoughts, clarify our beliefs, improve traction towards living our purpose and increase our ability to love ourselves and others. We attract pollinators when we build the right conditions, and happily, we can create the nurturing loving environment we need by:
Slowing down
Putting away our phones
Going out in nature
Dancing
Singing
Reading something that feeds our soul
Creating emotional connections with others
Really paying attention to the change of seasons – all wonderful ways to do this.
And it doesn’t always need to be serious or reflective. My husband watches sketches from old comedians, like Don Rickles, on YouTube because it makes him laugh.
Ready to begin?
First, pause for this moment and totally focus on yourself. Close your eyes. Let all the distractions fall away. Breathe in. Breathe out.
Settle in and become fully immersed in this moment of nurturing indulgence. Imagine you are building a cozy nest for yourself. You effortlessly attract all of the resources you need to build it. Every little thing arrives at the perfect time, in the perfect amount and the perfect condition. When you need help, the right help shows up.
Center in on the thought: I can attract the help I need when I pause and create the right conditions. Give yourself a hug, a round of applause and a pat on the back.
That’s it for today. Sending you blessings on blessings and big hugs. And I look forward to tomorrow with you, same time, for day ten of 9:09 is nurture time.
